Saving Thousands of Elephants
Emergency water deliveries to Tsavo West National Park during severe drought helped sustain more than 2,000 elephants when natural sources ran critically low.
For over six years, Jackson Nyange has brought water, built water pans and partnered with communities to help wildlife survive Tsavo’s harsh dry seasons.
Every waterhole reduces conflict. Every supporter becomes part of conservation.
The Elephant Man of Tsavo is more than a conservation project. It is a movement dedicated to protecting Africa's iconic wildlife while improving access to clean water for surrounding communities.
Jackson Nyange is a Kenyan wildlife conservationist from Kajire Village in Taita Taveta County. Growing up beside the Tsavo ecosystem gave him a deep appreciation for wildlife from an early age — a passion that began in his primary school Wildlife Club.
His commitment grew stronger after becoming a wildlife ranger in 2018. During severe droughts he witnessed elephants, giraffes and other wildlife walking many kilometres in search of water, entering villages where they destroyed crops and endangered lives.
Instead of watching the problem continue, Jackson decided to act.

Discuss a partnershipJackson’s work is sustained not only by resources, but by people who believe that compassion can make a difference.
“In the dry expanse of Tsavo, Kenya, Jackson is a lifeline for wildlife facing the brutal reality of severe drought. Natural water sources frequently dry up completely, leaving elephants and other vulnerable animals stranded without a drop to drink. Operating purely out of compassion, Jackson works tirelessly to deliver water directly to these desperate creatures. While resources are tight— leaving him lucky if he can manage three trips a week—each run brings critical relief to a landscape in dire need. What makes Jackson's mission so impactful is just how far a little support can go: for just $130 USD, he can haul 10,000 liters of water, which is enough to completely fill a parched watering hole and sustain countless animals. Jackson personally handles the logistics, coordinating everything from fuel and water supplies to hiring a driver and security team. Every single delivery is a monumental effort, offering immediate survival to Tsavo’s wildlife and proving how dedicated human action can turn the tide for animals suffering in the harshest seasons.
“I have known Jackson Nyange for some time now. He is the most dedicated person I ever know. He is very professional, and his care for wildlife and his community is undeniable. I will proudly support anything that he is implicated in.”
Real voices. Real commitment. Real impact.
